Lindsey loved to go to Lake Lyndon B. Johnson during the summer months.  She loved fishing for tadpoles and catfish and diving from the cliffs.  One hot day in July, Lindsey fell from a cliff and slammed her leg on a rock.

Around the same time, a girl named Jill also fell from the cliff at Lake LBJ.  When Jill approached the ledge, her lemon-colored sandals split open and she lost her balance.   Luckily, Lindsey and Jill shared a room in the hospital and quickly became friends.   Afterwards, Jill and Lindsey kept in touch by writing e-mail and letters.  They always talked about how they would like to return to the lake and meet for lunch at the Salt Lake Cafe.

Finally, three years after the girls learned their lesson on that giant cliff, they laughed and giggled over a lovely lunch.  As they blessed their food, the girls both gave thanks for being alive.  Lindsey smiled and listened to Jill tell the story about her life.  As Lindsey nibbled her food, she quickly remembered how much she loathed the food in the hospital.  Jill agreed as she looked at her own delicious meal.  After the girls finished lunch, they indulged by eating a thick slice of Italian cream cake.

After finishing their meal, Jill toiled with the idea of going to the lake one last time. Lindsey could not imagine allowing Jill to venture out there on her own, so she agreed to join her.  The two girls sat far from the edge of the cliff and watched the sunset together.  After they enjoyed the beautiful colors in the sky, they walked to the pier and slipped their toes in the water.
