Rachel worked on her family's ranch since the day she was born. She was used to life on the range, and she had a reputation for not being rude and treating her friends and family with respect.

One day, Rachel saw a boy named Rick while she walked alongside the river. Rick was new in town, and although he had been reluctant to move, he was received well by the other townspeople.

Rick saw Rachel as he sat on a round stump by the river, and he rose up to meet her. Rosy-cheeked, Rachel was rude for the first time and walked away from Rick even though she wanted to get to know him. Rick knew she was shy, so he ran towards Rachel and gave her a rose because he wanted to show her he was romantic. After some reflection, Rachel relaxed and recommended that Rick meet her relatives. Rick replied eagerly, and the two went to Rachel's residence to meet her family.

When the two entered Rachel's living room, Rick was well-received by Rachel's relatives. Rachel's father Ron invited Rick to dinner, which was a rare thing for him to do, and Rick readily accepted. Rachel's mother Rita even shared her recipe for her rib roast when Rick asked.

It wasn't long before Rachel and Rick were married and moved into a ranch of their own. While some of the townspeople thought the couple was ridiculous for marrying each other so quickly, others thought they were just being really romantic. Rachel and Rick remain together to this day.
